1. Who we are and acceptance

Honest Backgammon is developed and published by Görkem Gündener (Türkiye) ("we"). By downloading or using the game you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the game. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

• The game is intended for ages 13 and over. If you are younger, you may only use it with a parent's or guardian's permission.
• A guest account is created automatically on first launch. A guest account exists only on that device; if you delete the app, your progress may be lost. Link your account with email, Google or Apple to keep it. Making purchases requires a linked account (see Section 5).
• You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for what is done with it. You may not sell, transfer or share your account.

3. Game rules and conduct

So that everyone can play fairly online, the following are not allowed:

• Cheating: programs that modify the game or its connection, move-suggestion tools, bots, or exploiting bugs.
• Using multiple accounts to transfer XP, or agreeing with another player to lose on purpose.
• Deliberately stalling or abandoning a match by running down the clock or disconnecting (leaving a match counts as a loss and a penalty under the game rules).
• Player names that are profane, insulting, hateful, sexual or impersonate others; harassing other players.
• Overloading the server or trying to access other accounts without permission.

We may warn players who break these rules, change their names, remove XP gained unfairly, and suspend or permanently close online play. You can report players with the in-game "Report" button.

4. XP, levels and titles

XP, levels, achievements and titles are points that only have meaning inside the game. They cannot be bought with money, sold or transferred, and have no monetary value. Doubling offers in matches are played only for XP; there is no real-money betting or gambling in the game. We may change XP rules for game balance and correct XP gained by mistake or against the rules.

5. Purchases

• Everything sold in the game (boards, dice, checkers, scenes, avatars, etc.) is cosmetic and does not help you win. There is no virtual currency and no random rewards (loot boxes).
• Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store and are subject to their terms. What you buy is a licence to use the item on your account; ownership of the item is not transferred to you.
• Purchased items are tied to your account. You can get them back by signing in with the same account on another device or with "Restore Purchases".
• Because items are saved to your account and carried across devices, purchases can only be made while signed in with email, Google or Apple; guest accounts, which can be lost with the phone, cannot make purchases. Without signing in, items for sale can still be used for 24 hours by watching an ad.
• Refund requests are made to Google Play or Apple under their refund policies. Items from refunded purchases may be removed from your account.
• Because digital content is delivered to your account immediately, to the extent permitted by law the right of withdrawal ends on delivery. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

6. Ads

There are no forced ads in the game. If you choose, you can watch rewarded ads to unlock some items or get XP. Ads are served by Google AdMob.

7. Dice

In online matches the dice are rolled on the server with a method that can be verified afterwards; you can check them with "Verify Dice" at the end of a match. Dice results are random; no player is guaranteed to win.

8. Availability

Online features depend on an internet connection and our server and may be interrupted from time to time for maintenance, failures or other reasons. We may update, change or one day discontinue the game and its content. If we permanently shut down the online service, we will announce it in the game or on this page at least 30 days in advance.

9. Intellectual property

The game's code, graphics, sounds, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may play the game for personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or sell it. The dice verification code is separately published under its own open licence.

10. Limitation of liability

The game is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors, and we are not liable for indirect damages. This section does not affect liability that cannot be limited by law or your rights as a consumer.

11. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in the game via Settings → Profile & Account → Delete My Account; a deleted account and its items cannot be restored. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The new version is published at this address and the date above is updated; important changes are also announced in the game. By continuing to use the game after a change, you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence are not affected. If you downloaded the game from the App Store, Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.
